How to read a Certificate of Analysis
6/26/2026
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is an independent lab's report on a specific batch. We attach the batch-specific COA to every product page. Here's how to use it.
Match the lot number first
Before anything else, confirm the lot/batch number on your product matches the one on the COA. A COA only describes the batch it was issued for.
The fields that matter
- Identity (MS): confirms the peptide is what the label says, by mass spectrometry.
- Purity (HPLC): the percentage that is the target peptide — e.g. ≥ 99%.
- Endotoxin: screens for bacterial endotoxin, reported in EU/mg.
Why we test every batch
Synthesis varies run to run. Testing each batch — rather than trusting a one-time spec sheet — is how we keep the catalog honest.
